Metro Vancouver is undertaking a major water infastructure project involving the construction of a new water main, called the Port Mann Main No.2. In mid-February 2015, they will be removing a number of trees and low brush north of Cape Horn Avenue to make space for the new water main. Upon completion of the project in 2016, Metro Vancouver, in accordance with the City of Coquitlam’s Tree Protection Bylaw, will replant native trees in the disturbed area.
Hours of work and noise
Work will take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. All work will comply with municipal noise bylaws, and granted bylaw variances.
